All things Girlie

Well another Saturday arrives so another scrap map challenge over at Creative Craft World.

This week its Sue's scrap map and she has gone for the theme all things girlie, so bling, flowers, pinks and purples are all in.  Pop across to the blog to take a peek at the scrap map and all DT examples.

So far I have managed the following, its not completely finished as I think it needs something else. So it is a work in progress.

The photo is of Poppy on Mother's Day last year, this was my very first Mother's day and it was so special. However I don't have any pictures of me and Poppy, so this year I will make up for that.

Ive managed a LO....

...and to be honest I am really pleased with it. This LO I have been wanting to make for ages and struggled to find the right LO so imagine my delight when I found a scrap lift over at the XOXO blog - thank you so much ladies.

This is the day that the Gruffalo Trunki arrived and my darling daughter would not leave him alone and even tried to feed him biscuits.

Anyway here it is:

I have even managed to use my sewing machine, I sewed a large circle straight onto the stonehenge bazzill and then decided one circle wasnt enough so I carried on until I had 3.

Then came the decorating. For the paper I used some from EP A walk in the park collection pack - yes still ploughing through that one too. The flowers are petaloo ones and the leaves came from a box of papermania poinsettias which I haven't used as yet.

Instead of the dragonfly I used butterflies which were punched with the X-cut dimensional butterfly punch and I just cut it out the paper.

Hope you like it. I am entering it into the XOXO girls March challenge sponsored by Candy Shoppe Designs

Card Challenge 2nd March

Well today launches another card challenge over at CCW and is being sponsored by the lovely Crafty Pad. Anyway the theme this fortnight is based on the Male, so anything goes as long as its suitable for the man in your life! As you all know now Im not the best at colouring with promarkers and no matter how much I practice I still can't seem to get it right, think I might have to use something else as a lot of work end up in the bin as Im never happy with the result. Anyway I have made a birthday card for a friends little boy, he loves green so I have tried to stick to that. I didn't think flowers were that appropriate for a little boy but I did go for a cream organza bow with some green crystal gems. Anyway I hope you like it, one day I will be happy with the promarkers will get there eventually! Thank you for looking!

I do LO

I have been busy scrapping over the past few days and my latest creation is using some images from our Wedding in 2008 - yes still trying to scrap pictures from then! For the ribbon along the bottom I have scrunched up some silver organza along behind the photo and used some pearl brads to attach the organza. The journalling is some memories from the day and how I felt, I will never have this day again and I will always have such amazing memories of the best day of my life. Stash used: Echo park Be Mine Collection Pack Prima E Line Crystals Bazzill Pearl brads Silver Organza.
